Keynote Speaker: Dr. Greg Starley
Robots in the OR
Dr. Greg Starley grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho. After high school, Dr. Starley attended Utah State and graduated from Idaho State University with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. He was accepted into medical school at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Following medical school, Dr. Starley completed his residency in general surgery at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. After residency Dr. Starley served four years in the United States Army, as chief of surgery at Fort Polk Louisiana and completed a 6-month tour in Afghanistan with the Second Forward Surgical team (FST). Dr. Starley moved to Gresham, Oregon following his service in the military, where he is now the chief of surgery and medical director for robotic surgery for the Legacy Health System. Dr. Starley has been performing surgeries robotically for four years. Dr. Starley has been married to his wife Maggie for 22 years and spends all his spare time as the ultimate volleyball dad travelling with his family as his three daughters all play club volleyball.

Doris Dalton is the Director of Admissions at the University of Utah PA School, one of the top PA schools in the country. He will help give you some tips and tricks to writing a good personal statement to aid your application into the accepted pile.
Robert Taylor is the current Director of the MD/PhD program at the University of Utah. He will talk about the role research can play in your undergraduate career and also discuss the MD/PhD program at the U.

Brian W. Loveridge, MD, FAAEM, is a graduate of the University of Utah Medical School. Loveridge has been practicing emergency medicine for 16 years. For the past 13 years, his emergency medicine career has been home to Ogden Regional Hospital, level II trauma center. He sits on the Medical Advisory Board for both Diabetes Relief and Vital Metrix. As a Regional Medical Director, Diabetes Relief, he travels domestically and internationally in reversing the complications of diabetes with physiologic insulin treatment.

Bundle of Hers-Diversity
Bundle of Hers is a group of third-year medical students who regularly host a podcast discussing diversity. Their presentation will hold similar topics as their podcast such as the challenges of studying medicine and how their diverse backgrounds affect their daily lives.
